Mick has a background in Rock Bands, Nostalgia Band, Country Bands, Cabaret Bands and his favourite style, Showbands. He has also performed as a Singer/Guitarist, and in Duos and Trios along the east coast of Australia, including residencies at Moreton Island's Tangalooma Resort , Magnetic Island's Meditteranean Village  and Daydream Island as well as Darwin and overseas in New Zealand and Vanuatu.

 

Mick plays a number of different instruments including Guitars (Lead, Rhythm, Acoustic & Bass), Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin, Keyboards, Harmonica and currently teaching himself the Flute. His vocal eptitude covers a wide expanse of different genres including imitating the Greats.

 

Mick has a quick-witted, comedic style that he developed over his years of fronting Showbands. With this extensive experience he generates an easy rapport with his audiences and management.

 

Mick currently plays in Gold Coast band "Groove Doctor" and Brisbane based outfit"Shelby Wright" . Mick is also involved with 3 piece novelty Ukulele band "Duke Ukem" and as a Guitar/Vocalist under the performance name of "TAIGA"

 

Mick has worked in a number of bands including Hanky Panky Showband; Fifth Avenue Showband; Stone Cold; and touring showband Omega Showband. Mick has also worked with recording artists The Drifters, Normie Rowe, John Farnham, Delilah, John English and Amber Lawrence.
